- The first Royal Café opened its doors in 1991 in the bustling market of Hazratganj, with just 80
seats. This humble beginning quickly transformed into one of Lucknow’s most beloved multicuisine family restaurants. - It was founded by the Ahuja brothers—Murli Dhar Ahuja, Lakhan Lal Ahuja, and Kanhiya Lal Ahuja
—under the umbrella of Jagtiani Hotels and Properties Pvt Ltd
Expansion & Brand Growth
- From its single outlet, Royal Café expanded to multiple locations across Lucknow including
Shahnajaf Road, Sahara Ganj (food court units), Gomti Nagar, and others under various brand
extensions—such as Royal Hut, India Colors by Royal Café, Royal Inn Hotel, and Royal Banquet
Halls - The café also diversified into outdoor catering, serving major clients and catering to as many as
5,000 people in a single day
Culinary Signature - Royal Café is best known for its Basket Chaat—a crispy potato basket filled with a symphony of
chutneys, spices, bhallas, moong, sev, and more - Other popular dishes include Gol Gappe (served with multiple flavored waters), Palak Patta Chaat,
